Dear Parents,

As last quarter focused on getting to know what the children are capable of, this quarter is all about fine-tuning. You will see a lot more writing papers coming home with copy-editing marks and math papers that have multiple corrections. In January we begin test preparations for AIMS and Terra Nova, so this is a time to make sure the basics are covered and that everyone understands core concepts. You can help by keeping an eye out for repeated confusions your child might have with the work and going over anything that seems to be chronic. Thanks again to all of you for the incredible commitment you have to your child.

Tax Credit Donations

Our school survives in part by tax credit donations. Since charter schools are funded differently than regular public schools, parent support with tax credits can make a big difference. Please consider stopping by the main office to make a donation of anything from five to four hundred dollars. Your money will be refunded to you when you get your income tax return (or credited toward any taxes you owe).
