108 October News

Dear Parents,

Don’t forget that the end of the 1^st quarter is October 17^th.  Parent/Teacher Conferences are in the afternoons of October 15^th, 16^th and 17^th.  The sign up sheets will be available October 6^th in the office. 

Fall break is from October 20^th to the 24^th.  The homework schedule is still the same except for the last week of the quarter (10/13 to 10/17).  There will be no story due, but there is still math due on that Friday.  Please refer to your homework calendars if you are not sure of anything.  Also please do subtraction flash cards every night this month.  Even though they have all had subtraction in previous years, knowing the subtraction facts and doing them at a lightning-fast pace always seems much harder than addition or multiplication - unless they study. 

Some upcoming dates in November:

November 7^th and/or 8^th is our camping trip to Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood.  We have the Raven Loop all to ourselves.  I also noticed that there is a “Camping Cabin Loop” for any lily livered city folk.  I don’t know anything about it but you can call 1-928-634-5283 for more information.  Please note, however, that if you stay in cabins we will all gossip about you.

Lastly, we have a field trip to Goldfield Ghost Town tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 14^th.
