Welcome back to a wonderful new year, as 2013 holds many fun new adventures. 

Students will begin receiving books nightly and spelling words/homework packets weekly on January 14, 2013.  Please continue to read each night with your child.  Also please remember your child needs to bring their folder daily, as well as wear appropriate tennis shoes for P.E. Wednesday and Friday.  Thank you for your continued support in your child’s education.

This month we will focus on our beautiful desert, and the fascinating animals that inhabit it.  This will be in preparation for our silent auction project.  We will incorporate out classes love for animals into an amazing work of art.  The silent auction is quickly approaching, February 28^th.  The same evening we will have our change truck arrive to match all of your generous donations, so please continue to bring in any spare change you may have. 

As well as our silent auction project, students will be working on their very own science fair projects.  This will be done completely in class.  Students will use the scientific method when conducting these experiments, and be ready to present them to friends and family on February 21^st at our science fair. 

We are very excited about all of our upcoming events, and hope to see you all there!!
