Hello Room 106,

          We have been so busy since we started back up this year. Third graders are hard at work preparing for the AIMS test coming up in April. Second graders have been hard at work preparing for the Standford 9 test coming up in April.

Here’s what’s happening this month:

·        Seussical Jr. at the Community Theatre on Thursday, February 9^th 8:45-10:00. Those of you driving please be at the classroom at 8:40.

·        The science fair is Thursday, February 9^th at 6:00-7:30.

·        We are celebrating the centennial on February 14^th. I will need some volunteers to help chaperone our walk to the fountain park, where we will hear the Mayor speak, from 12:00-2:00.

·        We will also be exchanging our Valentines on February 14^th.

·        Friday, February 17^th is early release; school ends at 12:30.

·        Monday, February 20^th we have no school due to Presidents Day. Friday, February 24^th 3^rd grade will be attending the Arizona Science Center Outreach Program at school.

·        Wednesday, February 29^th is the Silent Auction and the change truck will be there to collect our change. Each classroom has to raise $125.00 in change in order to meet our school goal of $1,000. Please help us reach our goal by sending in your change.

·        Author/ Illustrator reports for 2^nd grade are due Friday, March 2^nd.

·        Biography Reports for 3^rd grade are due Friday, March 2^nd.
